Abbiamo rotolato molto esattamente 1.608 chilometri a bordo del più economico del Tesla Model 3, senza mai paura dell’autonomia. Per quello ? Perché l’efficienza è presente.
L’autonomia è senza dubbio il primo ostacolo all’acquisizione di un’auto elettrica al 100 %. Ed è completamente legittimo: nessuno vuole finire con una batteria vuota nel mezzo del percorso. Questo è già il caso di un telefono, che è diventato un oggetto vitale nella nostra vita quotidiana (questo non è necessariamente una buona cosa). Quando è facile anticipare un pieno di benzina con un veicolo termico, un’auto elettrica al 100 % richiede un’organizzazione completamente diversa, più previdente.
Numerama è stato in grado di testare lo standard Tesla Model 3 – quello che è aumentato di un po ‘di prezzo fa – in lunghi viaggi, in questo mese del 2022. Abbiamo guidato da Lille a Strasburgo, più di 500 chilometri, mentre l’auto non è tecnicamente in grado di garantire una tale rotta senza collegare (510 chilometri, secondo il ciclo WLTP che non riflette la realtà). Abbiamo temuto il guasto ? Affatto. Due ragioni spiegano questa assicurazione: la rete di compressori, ma soprattutto l’efficienza del Modello 3, vale a dire la sua capacità di utilizzare la minor energia possibile quando rotola.
Dimentica l’autonomia, il vero argomento di un’auto elettrica al 100 % è la sua efficienza
L’efficienza è essenziale, nel senso che consente di ottimizzare al meglio la capacità energetica fornita da una batteria. Questa è una scienza abbastanza esatta, altrimenti i produttori renderebbero la seguente scommessa: installare la batteria più grande possibile, per ottenere la massima autonomia possibile, tenendo conto dei vincoli di peso e dimensioni. L’efficienza è ovviamente governata da una serie di fattori più o meno controllabili. C’è il know-how tecnologico delle aziende, che può progettare un motore meno che consuma l’energia, ad esempio. Esistono anche condizioni esterne, guidando se stessa, velocità o uso di funzionalità di comfort.
Il consumo di un’auto elettrica è espresso in KWH per 100 chilometri, ovvero in modo concreto, l’energia di cui il veicolo ha bisogno per eseguire questi 100 chilometri. Per un veicolo termico, stiamo parlando di litri di carburante consumato. Lo schema è lo stesso: più basso è il consumo di carburante o kWh, più a lungo si eseguerà l’auto.
Gli attori del mercato automobilistico cercano ovviamente diversi modi per migliorare l’efficienza, per evitare di aumentare stupidamente le dimensioni della batteria. Possono passare attraverso l’equipaggiamento visibile (esempio: cerchi aerodinamici) o invisibili (esempio: una pompa di calore, che ricicla l’aria calda per una migliore gestione della temperatura di habitacolo). In breve, ci sono leve per sviluppare efficienza nella giusta direzione. Su questo punto, Tesla è davvero uno dei buoni studenti.
16,9 kWh per 100 chilometri
Abbiamo rotolato per esattamente 1.608 chilometri, consumando 272 kWh in tutto. Che dà un consumo di 16,9 kWh per 100 chilometri. Questo è un risultato eccellente, soprattutto perché abbiamo rotolato principalmente in autostrada senza cercare di risparmiare energia (siamo rimasti alla massima velocità autorizzata). Sulle binari veloci, mantenere l’auto ad alta velocità – 130 km/h – consuma molta energia (questo è lo stesso per il carburante, a proposito). In questo esercizio, il modello 3 era molto comodo.

Come puoi vedere, non abbiamo mai superato un consumo di 20 kWh/100 km. Per fare un confronto, durante il test XC40 Volvo ricaricato tra 22 e 24 kWh per 100 chilometri mentre la Ford Mustang Mach-E era di circa 19/25 kWh. Vale a dire quanto il modello 3 faccia meglio, pur mantenendo più che onorevoli prestazioni stradali (da 0 a 100 km/h in 6,1 secondi).
Noterai anche che siamo stati in grado di percorrere più di 200 chilometri in autostrada senza fermarci e, soprattutto, senza mai paura di non arrivare a destinazione. Va anche notato che Tesla offre la scelta tra la visualizzazione della percentuale di autonomia rimanente o il numero di chilometri che l’auto può ancora viaggiare. In nessun momento abbiamo privilegiato la seconda, più opzione che provoca l’ansia – un’altra prova della fiducia concessa al Modello 3. Soprattutto perché il planner di viaggio integrato nel GPS dell’auto è super affidabile e pertinente (entriamo nella sua destinazione e lui stesso definirà gli arresti di carico).
Certamente, abbiamo approfittato di un clima più chiaro che nel mezzo dell’inverno. Leggi: quando le temperature sono più basse, il consumo aumenta. Ma non siamo neanche in estate.
E quanto costa questo ?
Esistono diversi modi per ricaricare la tua Tesla:
- A casa, su una presa domestica, con un costo che dipende dal tuo contratto energetico (circa 15 centesimi per kWh);
- Su un terminale, con un costo che dipende dal terminale.
Tesla ha una propria rete di compressori, e questa è l’opzione per favorire quando si intraprende un lungo viaggio. Il prezzo per kWh dipende dal luogo in cui si trova il terminale integrato nella rete del produttore.
Ecco i prezzi dei compressori su cui ci siamo collegati durante i nostri 1.608 chilometri:
- Senlis, € 0,46/kWh;
- Namur, € 0,39/kWh;
- Metz, € 0,46 /kWh;
- Achern, € 0,46/kWh;
- Arlon, € 0,49/kWh;
- Lille Lesquin, € 0,46/kWh.
Che dà una media di € 0,45 per kWh. Se riportamo questo tasso al nostro consumo di 16,9 kWh, i 100 chilometri costeranno circa € 7,6. Se paragoniamo a una berlina termica che consuma 8 litri di benzina per 100 chilometri, il vantaggio è chiaramente a favore del Modello 3, ancora di più quando i prezzi della pompa volano via (€ 7,6 contro quindici d ‘euro per benzina). In breve, in autostrada, cavalcare a Tesla divide la fattura di due.
All’arrivo, è minore autonomia dell’efficienza, associata a una rete di sovraccosti efficienti, che consente al Modello 3 di garantire lunghi viaggi fluidi (incluso nella sua variante standard). Ciò consente a Tesla di non rendere più l’autonomia un problema ed Elon Musk di affermare che un modello con 1.000 chilometri è inutile.
